What do you do at Pinnacle? From 2014 to 2022, one of my roles was on the outside, helping Pinnacle with acquisitions. Every funeral home that became part of Pinnacle during that time, I helped analyze the business. Since October 2022, I’m proud to be on the inside, where my two primary tasks are to grow our business through smart acquisitions and improve operations. I'm making sure our team has the resources they need to provide the best support to our funeral homes, and ultimately that means our families.

What are you known for professionally? Acquisitions, both helping owners sell and helping companies buy.

What do you have a knack for? Wanting to answer questions or move projects forward quickly.

What are you most passionate about professionally? Having more people know that Pinnacle is the premier company to join for anyone considering selling their funeral home.

Who have you worked with in the past? And what have you done for them? Keystone Group, Foundation Partners Group, and NewBridge Group. At Keystone and Foundation I primarily analyzed potential acquisition candidates. At NewBridge, I primarily worked with sellers who were looking for the right company to sell to as part of their succession plan.

What most excites you about your work and the contribution you can make? Knowing that ultimately this business is helping people in their most difficult time. Always remembering that is what we do and what we are here for is extremely important.

What are you passionate about personally? Family, comedy and current events.

What do you really enjoy? I grew up playing sports and still really enjoy playing and following my favorite teams. I also listen to a lot of podcasts.

Where can we find you when you’re not working? What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon? With family probably hanging out by the pool.

How long have you been doing what you do? Over 15 years. I was lucky to start with a company with so many great people that I continue to collaborate with to this day, including Melissa Howsare!

Where did you grow up and why aren’t you there now? I moved quite often as a child. I was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, grew up mostly in central Illinois, and also spent some time growing up in Oklahoma and Florida. During the past 15 years, I’ve spent about half my time in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and the other half in Tampa, Florida, where I have lived since the beginning of 2020.

What would be impossible for you to give up? Cell phone.
