Jessica, Accounting

What do you do at Pinnacle? I am the back-up to Kristine and Allison. I work on various reports each month and make sure they are properly coded and filed.

What are you known for professionally? What do you have a knack for? My attention to detail and great organizational skills. I believe that everything has its own place. You will often catch me color-coding, grouping by likeness, and reorganizing old things. I am often referred to as a ‘neat freak’ but I don’t see anything wrong with that!

What do people say about you? Paul says I should drink more coffee.

Who have you worked with in the past? And what have you done for them? My previous employers include ExpressJet Airlines, the Georgia Secretary of State, and the Georgia General Assembly. I started off as a crew scheduler with the airline and then moved into Accounting. I worked for the Corporations and Elections Divisions for the Secretary of State’s office. I had the honor of being a Clerk during the 2012 Legislative session for the Georgia House of Representatives.

What are you most passionate about professionally? What most excites you about your work & the contribution you can make? I am most passionate about going above and beyond in my career. I enjoy trying to find ways to simplify processes, and even new ways of organizing. I take great pride in my work and feel as though I have a lot to offer with both my education and experience.

What are you passionate about personally? What do you really enjoy? I am extremely passionate about college football (Auburn – WAR EAGLE!), my adorable nephew, and creating memories with friends and family. I am known to take more than enough photos, but I believe photography is the best way to recreate our memories.

Where can we find you when you’re not working? What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon? During football season I am glued to the television. Fall is my favorite time of year, so I am usually doing something outdoors. I spend a lot of time on the water during the warmer months.

How long have you been doing what you do? Currently I have been in an Accounting role for about 2 years. Although my degree is in Psychology, I have always had a strong interest in numbers.

Where did you grow up and why aren’t you there now? I grew up in Newnan, GA and just recently moved to Decatur. Close to the office, easy for commuting!

What would be impossible for you to give up? Ice cream or Frozen yogurt!

Any awards or medals, or even medallions? While in middle school (yes, that was a long time ago) I won the ‘Johnny on the Spot’ award. My teachers always told me that they knew I would always remain on top of things. My proficiency has only become stronger with time.
