Shannon, VP of Operations

What do you do at Pinnacle? I will be working closely with Paul, the accounting department and the funeral homes.

What does that entail? The first thing I will need to do is to get to know the employees and their unique business styles.

What are you known for professionally? I have on-boarded 150-plus firms in my 20-year career. What do you have a knack for? Implementing processes and procedures.

Who have you worked with in the past? And what have you done for them? Keystone Group, SCI and Foundation Partners Group. I worked in accounting and operations, bridging the gap between accounting, IT and operations.

What are you most passionate about professionally? Helping our team get what they need to do the best at their job!

What most excites you about your work & the contribution you can make? Having the experience to be able to help in many different areas.

What are you passionate about personally? Traveling, family time, and daily exercising.

What do you really enjoy? Hanging out with family and friends.

What’s your favorite way to spend a weekend or a Sunday afternoon?  Hiking, biking, gardening, basically anything outside.

How long have you been doing what you do? Over 20 years… I started in Tampa, Florida where I met my husband.  We both are very passionate about this industry.

Where did you grow up and why aren’t you there now? Tampa, Florida.  I am currently living in Iowa due to my husband’s job.

Any nonprofits you love & why? Our church does a great job feeding the less fortunate and I always help as much as possible.

What would be impossible for you to give up? Coffee & wine & beer.

How do you want to be remembered?  I want to be remembered as the person that was not scared to try new things.

Anything else you’d like to tell people about yourself? We have 3 children, an adult daughter who lives and works in Salt Lake City,  and two younger children who are in grade school.
